Joe Iosefa

Joe Iosefa was born and raised on the island of Oahu. His parents are originally from American Samoa and moved to Hawaii before Joe was born. He graduated from Aiea High School in 1989. Joe is the eldest of three, and has two sisters.
Joe's parents were involved in church and he started singing in the church choir when he was about 5 years old. At the age of 8 years old, he started playing the ukulele. Joe's family has always played instruments and sang at family get together's. Joe spent many weekends "kanikapila" with friends and family.
Joe moved to San Diego in November of 1992 and met Derwin Butler in 1996 through work. He started playing music with Derwin and a few friends in 1998. First, with Kalani Kai and then with the Island Boys. In 2000, he started attending South Bay Community Church. In 2003, as his faith grew, he started singing with the Praise Team. In 2007, along with Derwin Butler, Joe joined Ohana Plus. Since joining Ohana Plus, Joe's skill and love for music continued to grow. He started playing guitar and leading worship at church every few weeks. He now serves faithfully as a Worship Leader for his church.
